Lakmé Fashion Week isn’t only a crowd pleaser because of the endless talent it displays to the country’s fashion enthusiasts. There’s also that element of star power in the air towards the end of each show. Will there be a celebrity walking the runway? Will they dance down the ramp for the finale? Will they be wearing the most awe-inspiring look from the collection? This season, Lakmé Fashion Week’s shows were choc-a-block with Bollywood faces, and not one showstopper was missable. While Manish Malhotra’s opening show had Jacqueline Fernandez and Arjun Kapoor on the ramp,Sonakshi Sinha made quite the statement twirling her skirt at Anita Dongre’s show. Shraddha Kapoor showed off an edgy new avatar for Masaba Gupta and Lisa Haydon played golden girl for Monisha Jaising. The highlight of the week, however, had to be Rohit Bal’s grand finale at Mumbai’s St Xavier’s College. All golden curls, flawless skin and kohled eyes, Kareena Kapoor Khan had everyone captivated in that embroidered masterpiece.
